Dennis attended the Pershing Insite conference in Florida in early June.  During the three day meeting, there were educational sessions on the world economy, financial markets and investment solutions.  Dr. Alan Greenspan was the keynote speaker.  Preceding the conference, the broker-dealer advisory board that Dennis is a member of elected him chairman of the board.

We are pleased to welcome Betty Wilson to our staff in March as Director of Business Development.  She will be responsible for developing our relationships with the members of the various associations we belong to and the business community at large.  Betty will also be charged with implimenting marketing services to those groups.

On February 26th, Dennis presented "The Myths and Realities of Estate Planning for Vineyard Owners" at the Smart Marketer Workshop of the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission.  The vineyard owner families in attendance found the information on estate planning understandable and beneficial in their succession and estate planning situations.

Dennis was a speaker at the Financial Planning Association of San Joaquin Valley "Planning Pays Off" event on February 2nd.  This is the 8th anniversary of this public service event.  The title of his presentation was "What You Need to Know About Life, Disability and Long-Term Care Insurance".

Goldstrand Planning Group recently was accepted into membership of Family Firm Institute.  It is an international professional membership organization founded in 1986 dedicated to providing interdisciplinary education and networking opportunities for family business and family wealth advisors, consultants, educators and researchers and to increasing public awareness about trends and developments in the family business and family wealth fields.
