Dennis qualified to attend his broker-dealer investment conference held in Phoenix, AZ in October.  There were specific-topic breakout sessions and informative general sessions.  Special guest speakers included Tulane University Finance Professor Peter Ricchiuti and world-renowned economist and author Dr. Barry Asmus.

Immediately following, he attended a two day Advanced Forum which presented techniques  in business and estate planning, the latest regulatory updates and featured industry speakers.

The first week of June was the annual Pershing Insite meeting in Hollywood, Florida.  The international investment industry conference was well attended.  It included educational sessions that Dennis attended and main platform speakers such as Bob Woodward of The Washington Post, covering The First 100 Days of the Obama Presidency; Lou Holtz, Legendary Football coach; Michael Lewis, author of best-selling books on Wall Street; and Jeffrey Garten, Professor, Yale School of Management.

Immediately preceding the conference, Dennis chaired the meeting of his broker-dealer advisory committee.

On March 11th, Dennis was the guest speaker at the Monterey County Vintners & Growers Association.  The topic was Business Succession and Estate Planning, a topic that is of great interest and value to the vintners and winegrape growers in attendance.
